About Frank's Original Pizza Italia

Located at 772 Castle Hill Ave, Bronx, NY 10473, Frank's Original Pizza Italia operates as a pizza restaurant serving Bronx in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 506 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in Bronx.

Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Bronx is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Each slice of pizza is literally 6 dollars and EVERY SINGLE topping is an additional charge of 3 dollars. I ended up paying 12 dollars for a just ONE pizza with bacon and pepperoni. It is definitely not worth the money.

Here’s what people don’t understand about this place or don’t vote for their wallets. This place treating people like they in Manhattan due to the price. The problem is the topping is highly expensive than any Marchant cost less. Why would specific people abuse their wallet to buy an expensive slide, especially beef panty ain’t worth paying for? LET THAT SKIN IN! I recommend anyone go to a wholesales club like BJs or Walmart to get much value versus this place if anyone knows how to do the math. If you’re someone think it’s okay to go to this place, chances are you won’t visit this for long.

I had to write a review this time. The last 3 times got me really disappointed. The service is always great and they have been there for a long time. I feel like there is no love with their food anymore. The slice was really dry, I had to put some melted butter on it when I got home. And the cheese seems less too. Before, their slice was a big perfect triangle and now it is an obtuse triangle (google it) you cannot cut that in half to share with someone like before. And it is not the first time they cut it like that. I was pissed off before and I’m pissed off again bc I gave them another shot. But I’m really not going back this is the last straw. They probably don’t read these reviews bc they don’t seem to care now. Their prices just keep rising. And that place seems empty now. SO, THE SLICE is $6 I need to find a different pizzeria. I also ordered a beef patty with cheese he first said it was $4.50 and then when I was ready to pay he said it’s $6.50 because of the cheese like CMON. No more !

12/17/2025 Visited for lunch. Got the beef patty with cheese, which was extra and the guy didn’t tell me. You have to be up front with people, the cheese was a $2 up charge, so instead of a $4 patty it was $6. The patty was good and it was good with cheese, but being sneaky to make a quick buck is never okay. The slices are enormous, I may come back to try them. 3 booths inside, it was clean.

On a road with parallel parking, cars like to run fast but yes it was decent pizza that was a tad expensive for a plain but the texture at the bottom was nice and counterman was respectful and accommodating to other customers . Good pizza !

The Italian pizza here is absolutely outstanding – thin, crispy crust with a soft center, topped with fresh mozzarella, rich tomato sauce, and a perfect balance of herbs. The fast-food selection, from burgers and fries to crispy chicken and sandwiches, is cooked with care, ensuring juicy, flavorful bites every time. The desserts, including chocolate cakes and creamy ice cream, make the meal complete. A wide menu is available – classic Italian pizza, pasta, burgers, fried chicken, salads, wraps, and refreshing drinks. Whether you love cheesy meals, light salads, or indulgent fast food, there’s something for everyone. #DeliciousPizza #ItalianCuisine #FastFoodLovers #VegetarianOptions #DietFriendly #KidFriendly #WheelchairAccessible #FoodieParadise

Got 2 slices for $12 & a soda can $1.75. Slices were ehh gave it to me piping hot. Came again since it’s near by to work and got mushrooms on top of 2 slices. Total bill came to $19.25. Pretty good if you like rip offs as there are plenty of β€œbig” pizza slice joints around that are plenty better and cheaper. $8.5 a slice is outrageous

Pretty decent pizza shop. Been around for a while since I was a kid. The pizza server is always nice and kind. This is the only pizza shop in the castle hill area the next one is off the bruckner. Now I do think 5.50 for a slice is pretty much. This isn’t thee best pizza around but it’s decent. And the water was 1.50 and that is ridiculous
